Jeffrey S. Mandel

    Jeffrey S. Mandel is a litigation attorney known for his diverse practice and for his appearances on several television networks. Jeff handles civil, criminal, and appellate cases but his favorite area is appeals. Jeff literally wrote the book on appeals in New Jersey.  He is the author of New Jersey Appellate Practice (Gann Law Books), which is a 900-plus page treatise on appellate practice and procedure in New Jersey.

    Jeff currently teaches Appellate Advocacy at Rutgers Law School and has previously taught Appellate Advocacy at Seton Hall Law School. He has argued numerous cases before the Supreme Court of New Jersey.  He is also a member of the State Bar Appellate Practice Committee.

    Jeff regularly appears as a legal commentator on TruTV (formerly Court TV) and has also appeared on Fox News Channel, CNN, Sirius Satellite Radio, and Cablevision.

    Jeff is the former recipient of the New Jersey State Bar, YLD, "Lawyer of the Year Award", former nominee for the Professional Achievement Award, has been profiled in The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel magazine, and was nominated by Governor Jon S. Corzine to the State Commission on Uniform Legislation. Jeff formerly worked at Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP and Day Pitney LLP.
